New technology is helping fleet operators to ensure their light commercial vehicles are inspected daily for their roadworthiness. The paper checks that HGV drivers carry out daily as part of operator licence requirements are more difficult to apply for vans that don’t return to a depot every evening, but new apps guide drivers through a vehicle inspection and send the report immediately so fleet operators can act on any faults and ensure their fleet is fully roadworthy and compliant.
